The FATA Automation conveyor is realized on extremely simple operating principles using only one source energy (electromechanical functioning); the number of parts used for disengagement is reduced to a minimum and consists of only rotation around fixed pin; transfer from one chain to another is in most cases performed by the chains of the conveyor and therefore without the use of complex transfer devices. One or more drive groups can control the chains. In some cases (in the case of "spurs") transfer of movement is direct from one chain to another. The load carrying devices, known as carriers move along the track of the conveyor. According to the transport cycle, these carriers may be stopped (i.e. accumulated), move along slow lines (technological) or on fast lines (in transit).
